Frequently Asked Questions

All chocolate orders are sent via Royal Mail, 24 tracked delivery.

For orders placed before midday, we aim to despatch the same day (not including weekends).

During the summer months, where the weather is too hot for chocolates, there may be some delays as we may not feel confident sending boxes without ruining the chocolates! In this case we would advise local collection (see next FAQ, below).

We offer free same day collections (Bath Parade, Cheltenham). Please select "local collection" on checkout & we'll email you the details!

We do our best to protect our chocolates, & each box is carefully packed to withstand the journey. We're pretty confident they'll arrive in immaculate condition - if Royal Mail do their job properly!

That said, we can't guarantee it! In the event of the damaged products, please contact us immediately with details & a picture of the affected chocolates. 

You can do this via email (hello@cheltenhamchocolates.co.uk) or via our social media channels, & we will work hard to replace them as soon as possible.

We recommend storing all chocolates in a cool, dry & dark place. Such as a kitchen cupboard - ideally at room temperature or below. 

Our chocolates are not designed to be refrigerated. If this is unavoidable, i.e., they are unable to be kept cool during summer months, they can - HOWEVER, this may affect the shine of the chocolates, and "sugar bloom" may appear due to the moisture content of inside the fridge. Chocolates are still safe to eat, but won't look as pretty as they once were! 

Conversely, if stored too warm, "fat bloom" will occur - again, still safe to eat, just not as pretty!

From the point of delivery, each of our chocolates have an approximate 6 week shelf life,  if stored correctly. 

To get the most out of the chocolates & the ultimate experience, we'd recommend they're consumed within 3 weeks!
